I am a repeat international customer and familiar with viaterra products. My first purchase was the Viatera Fly Magnetic Tank Bag, there after I purchased A Spencer jacket, a Shifter glove and a Fender jacket. Only the glove was a little disappointing but the good folks at Viaterra made good on the issue even though they were not obligated too.
Back to the product. I had two tank bags prior to this one the Viaterra Fly was large and not suitable for everyday use or half day trips. The other tank bag I had (motowolf) was too small to fit my essentials. The Ace Magnetic is the perfect size making my smaller tank bag redundant.
The bag’s material is sturdy has a much appreciated divider to organize your stuff. The side pockets are great I keep my bungee cord in it and the flap has a netted section with a zip for you to keep flat documents. The zip is smooth and no issues here. The magnets are strong, the bag’s (I ride a Transalp) magnetic straps don’t fit exactly on my tank. But thankfully the magnets are strong and so despite speeds of 175/180kmph, it still hold on. The bag comes with a sling, which I’ll never use and a rain cover which is very important in my side of the world. Over all I like the product and the quality and thought put into it.
If I had one gripe it would be the product is not waterproof and requires me to use the rain cover. But hey, it’s a very small quip for what is otherwise a great product.
I hope I can one day make that journey to India in so that I can visit the store in so that I don’t have to pay these pesky shipment costs.
Great little bag for my Himilayan 411, strong magnets and good storage for a small bag.
Used for tours and commuting.
This bag hits the sweet spot in terms of size. It's not too small but not so big that it interferes with the himalayan handlebar controls like indicators/joystick.
Two things though-
1. Attaching the straps and carrying as cross-body bag doesn't work at all. It flops around too much. I put my camera in it and couldn't take any photos crouching down as it kept falling off. A different way to carry this bag on body should be researched.
2. Provide nylon strings on all the zipper sliders so its easy to open/close with gloves.
