USP 1
Purpose-built for tropical heat and long rides, the 2nd Skin Balaclava uses lightweight, sweat-wicking fabric to keep you cool and dry under the helmet.
USP 2
Flat-lock seams and four-way stretch ensure all-day comfort without chafing
USP 3
Extended neck coverage adds a layer of protection from sun, dust, and grime.
Uses a special ODOR CRUNCH Swedish technology that works as a natural anti-odor treatment by capturing, ‘crunching,’ and permanently removing odors using natural silica particles, the primary component of common sand.
This keeps clothing and fabrics smelling fresher for longer and reduces the amount of washing required.
Moisture Wicking for sweat absorption
The moisture-wicking fabric used in the balaclava is specifically designed to pull sweat away from the skin and move it to the surface of the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly. This helps to keep your skin dry and comfortable, preventing the buildup of sweat and odors - even during long and intense rides.
4 way stretch to maximize flexibility
The 4-way stretch fabric allows for maximum flexibility and movement, so you can wear the balaclava comfortably under the helmet during long rides. The breathable fabric also allows for air to circulate, keeping you cool and comfortable.
Hydration pack friendly
The ViaTerra 2nd Skin balaclava comes with a two-way hydration slit, which allows you to have the bite valve within easy reach during the ride. This feature allows you to stay hydrated without the hassle of removing your helmet or balaclava, which can be especially useful during long rides in hot and humid weather.
Hydration tube guides
The elastic loops on both sides of the balaclava help guide the hydration tube to the front hydration slit so you don't have to worry about it getting in the way or becoming dislodged.
Flat lock seams for added strength & durability
Flatlock seams are created by overlapping two pieces of fabric and then sewing them together, which results in a strong, durable and comfortable seam that lies flat against the skin. This construction method makes the ViaTerra 2nd skin balaclava more comfortable to wear, as there are no raised or irritating seams against the skin. Additionally, flatlock seams also reduce stress along the seams, which helps to prevent the balaclava from stretching out of shape or becoming damaged over time, making it more durable.
Soft piping around the viewport
The ViaTerra 2nd Skin balaclava features soft piping around the viewport, which provides comfort during long days in the saddle. The soft piping is a strip of soft and flexible material that surrounds the viewport, which is the opening that allows you to see through the balaclava. The soft piping helps to prevent the viewport from rubbing against your skin, which can cause irritation and discomfort during long motorcycle rides.
Night visibility
Branded reflectives provide enhanced visibility during night rides

Material & Construction
Crafted from lightweight, moisture-wicking stretch fabric, the 2nd Skin Balaclava delivers a smooth, second-skin feel that’s breathable and fast-drying. The four-way stretch construction offers all-day comfort while keeping bulk to a minimum under the helmet.
Odour control
The hydrophobic yarns wick away sweat as soon as it forms, keeping you dry and comfortable through long rides. Treated with Polygiene anti-odour tech, it prevents bacterial build-up and stays fresher for longer - ideal for multi-day trips or everyday commutes.
Comfort & Fit
Designed with a contoured FocusFit profile, the balaclava follows the shape of your face and neck without creases or pressure points. Flat-lock seams prevent chafing, while the snug stretch fit ensures it stays in place through helmet changes and hours in the saddle.
Quick dry
Engineered for hot-weather riding, the fabric actively wicks away sweat and dries fast, making it perfect for Indian summers and humid coastal routes. The breathable weave keeps you cool under your lid, even in stop-go traffic or mid-day rides.
Wash, care and storage
Wash separately in cold water before first use.
Always turn the balaclava inside out before washing to preserve the outer fabric and stitching.
Hand wash using mild detergent and cold water - avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as they can reduce stretch and breathability.
If there are stains which you are not able to remove using a damp cloth, use a soft bristled brush soaked in a mild pH neutral soap and rinse off using cold water. Please note that using the brush could lead to piling which will not be covered under warranty.
Let it air dry flat in the shade; avoid wringing, tumble drying, or exposing it to direct heat.
Store flat or rolled in a clean, dry place to prevent the fabric from stretching out or picking up lint.
Dry-cleaning or using a clothes dryers will void the warranty as this will damage the special coatings that the fabric has.
Things to Remember
The balaclava is designed for a snug, second-skin fit - this ensures it stays in place under your helmet without bunching or causing pressure points.
Wear it a few times to let the stretch panels adjust to your head shape and riding posture. It’ll feel more natural with each use.
Always clean it after rides to prevent sweat buildup and odour. Store flat or rolled and avoid storing it damp to preserve the fabric’s breathability and elasticity.
