Bought this for touring and cross-border riding on my Classic 350. After a few hundred kilometres, the short version: it works, and it works in the conditions riders actually face — not the conditions in the product photos.
The rain cover is the quiet hero. Weather does not care about your plans. One minute the road is clear, the next you are riding through what feels like a mobile car wash. My system is simple: cover the bag first, then panic about my own rain gear. The bag stays dry every time. Priorities.
The bag itself is spacious, practical, and easy to live with. Sits planted at highway speeds, carries my riding essentials without making the bike feel overloaded, and the mounting is genuinely secure. For touring, daily use, and longer day rides, it fits the job well.
The only real gap is security. There is no built-in lock or proper anti-theft loop. My workaround: a small padlock for the zips, and a bicycle chain lock to secure the bag to the bike when I stop.
To be clear, this is not meant to stop a professional thief with tools and too much free time. Nothing short of a security guard and a divorce lawyer for your motorcycle will do that. The chain is there to make my bag more annoying to steal than the unsecured one parked next to mine — which is really all you can ask for in this world.
If someone is willing to cut a chain in public just to steal a motorcycle bag, then honestly, take the bag. At that point they have committed harder to the mission than I have, and I am not fighting a stranger over luggage.
Viaterra, please add a proper lock loop in the next version. Your customers are MacGyvering one anyway. Other than that, a solid, practical, rider-friendly bag that does what it promises. 5 stars.
Ride safe out there.
