Vintage-Inspired Elegance

Our retro collection pays homage to timeless design elements from yesteryears, evident in the classic styling cues of the Wayne. The rich, earthy tones paired with the canvas-and-leather combination elevate its appeal. Subtle branding through soft hand-feel print and embossed logos exudes sophistication, capturing the essence of a bygone era while remaining contemporary, thus making it a statement piece for both motorcycle enthusiasts and fashion connoisseurs.

"

Comfort & Ventilation during long rides

Thoughtfully positioned mesh panels on the Wayne jacket's torso sides ensure optimal airflow, keeping you cool on warmer days.

Leather panels on Impact zones

Natural leather panels on the elbows offer both style and added protection in the event of a slide.

Ergonomics designed for riding

The ergonomics of the Wayne jacket are meticulously crafted with pre-curved sleeves, a design element intended to optimize comfort and functionality specifically for the riding posture. By shaping the sleeves to align with the natural position of the arms when gripping the handlebars, riders experience reduced resistance and improved ease of movement, thereby enhancing comfort.

Multiple front pockets

The Wayne jacket features two zippered Napoleon pockets conveniently located on the chest for swift access to urban essentials such as mobile phones, cards, and bike papers. Additionally, two extra pockets on the front serve as hand warmers, providing added comfort during colder weather.

Goggle loop

A nifty loop located on the chest provides a convenient spot to secure your goggles when they're not in use.

Original YKK™ for extra durability and smooth operation on all zips

The Wayne uses the ViaTerra standard, and the world's best, YKK zippers & pullers throughout.

Armour compatibility

We designed the Wayne to be your versatile second jacket, seamlessly transitioning from on-bike to off-bike activities. It's compatible with the armour from our Spencer, Miller, or Fender jackets, allowing you to customize your protection according to your preference. Additionally, you have the option to purchase the armour separately if desired.

Secure closures

The Wayne features a dual zipper and snap button closure on the front, providing added safety in the event of a crash. Its sleeves are designed with additional fabric gussets to minimize the risk of road rash in case of a fall.

Specification

How to measure size for riding jackets?

Things to keep in mind to ensure the measurements are taken correctly
- It will be helpful to have a family member or a friend take the measurements
- Please use flexible tape only, like a tailor’s tape
- All the measurements must be in the same units, whether cm or inches
- You should preferably be wearing base layers while taking measurements, and avoid anything bulky

STEP 1 - Measure using a tailor's tape
There are two key measurements that you need to take into consideration for figuring out your jacket size.
A) Chest - Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of the chest and do not inhale while taking the measurement. Tape measure over your chest should be comfortable i.e. not too tight or loose. Keep your arms loose on the sides, and breathe in normally.
B) Waist - Measure the circumference of your waist over the belly button. Keep the tape parallel to the ground, not too loose or too tight.

STEP 2 - Find your jacket size by checking measurements against the size chart provided
- If both the measurements do not fall in one particular size - use the larger of the two measures to choose the jacket size.
- If the two measurements are on the border line between two sizes, choose the one that offers a preferred fit i.e. sporty fit (lower size) or comfort fit (higher size) depending on your preference.

Remember, each brand has its own body size charts, so do check the chart before you select the size.

Materials

Crafted from heavy-duty 100% cotton canvas with warp-knit mesh panels, the Wayne balances durability with breathability. Leather reinforcements at the elbows offer extra abrasion resistance in case of a slide. YKK zippers throughout ensure smooth operation and long-term reliability, while subtle branding and premium trims elevate the overall finish.

Protection

The Wayne is armour-ready and compatible with CE Level 2 Sas-Tec or PowerTector armour used in the Spencer, Miller, or Fender jackets. Leather at the impact zones adds natural abrasion resistance and help reduce the risk of road rash in case of a fall.

Comfort & Fit

Designed for the riding posture, the Wayne features pre-curved sleeves and an ergonomic cut that reduces bunching up front. It moves with your body - not against it. Even without armour, the structure offers enough support for casual, unarmoured rides around the city.

Ventilation

Mesh panels along the sides of the torso offer airflow - under the arms and around the core. The Wayne keeps it functional and breezy without compromising the classic silhouette.

Visibility

Low-profile reflective elements are subtly integrated into the design to ensure visibility in low-light conditions without clashing with the retro aesthetic. Stay seen without looking flashy.

Wash and Care

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Body armours/ protectors (if any) must always be removed before starting the washing process

CLEAN & CARE:
- For dirt and stains, clean with a soft-bristled brush and lukewarm water (DO NOT USE HOT WATER)
- DO NOT allow your jacket to come in contact with solvents (do not use fabric softener!), fuel, or cleaning agents.
- DO NOT use any kind of CHEMICAL or ALCOHOL-BASED product. For longer life of the fabric, we recommend hand washing the jacket using mild detergent
- Do not place your jacket near, or come in contact with a direct heat source
- Dry the jacket on a hanger away from direct sunlight where there is good ventilation.
- Zippers need to be cleaned and lubricated regularly - you can use vaseline or candle wax
- Leather needs to be conditioned after every wash cycle to replenish the natural oils within.

STORAGE:
- Make sure your jacket is completely dry with armours removed before you store it on a hanger.
- If stored wet or in a non-ventilated area as it allows mildew to grow on the fabric causing discoloration and damage
- Do not store the jacket in air-tight plastic bags

Please watch the video explaining these steps and reach out to us if you need help!

Things to Remember
  1. The Wayne is designed to be compatible with optional armour. If you plan to use armour you already own, please check that its size matches the armour pockets.
  2. It may feel slightly relaxed without the armour installed - this is intentional to allow flexibility and off-bike comfort.
  3. Always secure the dual front closure and sleeve gussets before riding to avoid flapping during your commute.
  4. Store it fully dry on a hanger - avoid folding the leather or canvas panels to maintain the jacket’s shape and finish.

Review: ViaTerra’s Wayne Urban Riding Jacket

I wrote a longer review on my blog at https://thejeshgn.com/2025/12/26/review-viaterras-wayne-urban-riding-jacket/

but here is the shorter version

It looks good. It’s made up of good, thick canvas and fits well. It has a polyester inner mesh lining and some leather elements.
It has space for removable armour for elbows, shoulders, and the back. I got PowerTector SEB Set – Level 2 for this. Adding and removing armour is easy and takes 2 minutes. It does come with leather panels on the elbows. It’s more of a design element than a safety element, I think.
You can wear it without armour. It looks and fits like any other jacket. It weighs about 1.3Kg. It’s relatively lightweight compared to other riding jackets. With armour, it becomes a bit heavy but very manageable.
I like that it’s not just zippers; it also has snap buttons. So sometimes you can ride with just half-zippers, but fully buttoned up, especially when it’s very hot. It has mesh panels on the sides of the torso for airflow. It also has waist adjustment loops.
It has two pockets with a zipper, fits a phone and wallet easily and securely. There are two usual handwarming pockets. There is a goggle loop that you can use to hang your googles when not riding. The main zipper is a YKK zippers, which feel good and strong.

Great Riding Jacket for the City

I really like the Viaterra Wayne Urban riding jacket for what it offers as a daily commute companion. The cotton canvas construction makes it comfy, airy, and durable. I wash it in the machine regularly and it still hasn’t frayed or lost its colour. What I love most is how light and compact it is—it’s easy to carry, stash at work, or slip into a backpack. In humid, stop-and-go traffic, it manages heat far better than a full mesh jacket. Ventilation works well at city and highway speeds, and its versatility lets me wear it casually, over body armour, or across different bikes. It’s fairly priced too, I feel.

Great commute/beginner jacket.

Really well made jacket which was able to fit armour from my other mesh jacket. Quite good to use for commuting since it does not look like a full riding jacket.

Wayn is the way!

The Viaterra Wayn jacket is absolutely worth it. I hardly wear my other riding jacket anymore! Its classic design is the real USP — it resonates with me deeply. I enjoy my rides so much while wearing it that I often forget to take pictures. I just love it.
