The Hammerhead 45 v2 is a universal tailbag system that is compatible with the bigger adventure bikes having a wider tail section and comes with built in backpack straps for easy carrying/ handling when off the bike. Designed for round-the-world trips & built with top notch materials – including super tough 1000Dx1000D Cordura™, YKK™/ Duraflex™ fittings, 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective tape, patented Fidlock™ magnetic closure, Duraflex™ aerospace grade aluminum alloy mounting hooks and High Tenacity polyester webbing.

- Primary construction using original 1000Dx1000D Cordura™ (from Invista)
- 4 point anchoring system utilising Duraflex™ aerospace grade aluminum alloy mounting hooks, makes it a breeze to mount or unmount, and ensures bag stays in place even on bad roads
- 100% waterproof inner drybag liner rated for 5000mm water pressure and seam sealed on all stitches to withstand heavy rains
- Roll top opening to enhance 100% waterproofing and make it easy to compress any extra volume
- The top opening is rolled down (atleast 3 folds) and secured with a FIDLOCK™ buckle closure, and further cinched down with retaining straps
- Use the in built beaver tails/ retaining straps to fasten your riding jacket and/or helmet to the Hammerhead to carry them when off the bike
- 2 zippered side pockets to carry shoulder belt, raincover, first-aid kit or other quick-access items
- 1 easy access clear zippered pocket on the top flap to keep bike papers, maps, etc.
- 1 easy access fabric zippered pocket on the top flap to keep wallet, or other small items etc.
- 1 easy access mesh zippered pockets on the under flap to keep memory cards or other small/flat items etc.
- Special textured rexine at the bottom of the bag for grip, durability & abrasion protection when placed on the ground

Cleaning:
Please use a soft cloth soaked in mild detergent to gently wipe the bag clean. Hang dry out of direct sunlight only. Dry-cleaning or machine washing or using a clothes dryers or hand/dhobi washing or soaking will void the warranty as this will damage the special coatings that the fabric has. It will also result in your bag losing its “water-proof” coating.
Storage:
When you are storing the bag, please do not fold, or roll or otherwise stuff the item into a smaller space/container as this will damage the item and void the warranty. Do not alter the bag or get it repaired at an unauthorized repair centre as this will void the warranty.

After my good experience with the Viaterra Fly Univeral 2017 Tank bag when I needed a new tail bag, Viaterra website was the first place I looked. I was initially not sure whether they make tail bags but then I came across the Hammerhead 45 motorcycle tail bag on the website. After going through the description and feature list I took a leap of faith with this bag owing to my past experience with Viaterra and boy I wan’t disappointed. It just oozes quality from every corner. Not a single aspect I could even nit-pick to find a flaw in the quality of the bag, it feels like a much more expensive bag than its price tag. On my test run, even with the first time mounting it, it was so easy and fuss free and I did not require even one bungee cord on my Bajaj Dominar 400. With the base strap structure design, it is super easy to mount and dismount the bag and walk away. And the bag stays stable even at speeds of 140kmph…no sliding forward, sideways and I still am just surprised, without even using bungee cord. I tried light off-roading and same result. So far I am really impressed with the hammerhead. Superb quality, oodles of space, even more than I require and rock solid stability when mounted and breezy mounting-dismounting. This is one value for money tail bag which can easily be converted into a backpack which is such a boon when u have dismount it walk up to your hotel room. I recommend this to anyone who is tired of dealing with bungee cords for long trips on their bikes. If I have to really nit-pick the only thing which Viaterra can improve is the warranty period from the standard one year to two even though once you hold this bag you’ll realize the quality and stitching is so great that you’ll never need it.

Well damn, what a bargain!
This is my second product from ViaTerra and let me tell you, the quality is top notch.
I ordered this back in January and as it was in stock, it arrived on my doorstep 3 days later. Installation on the Himalayan was a cinch and the bag spans across the pillion and my existing panniers perfectly without overlapping them.
The bag has plenty of room for all your dry good – gloves, clothes and anything else you want to keep out of the elements, and still allows you to use it in a modular way.
Most recently I took it out on a very challenging series of trails in a rain/snow/ice storm in the mountains of Southern California. The bag went through every manner of thing – mud, ice, snow, being dropped in muddy water on the bike when it went down – and when my hard case broke off, I was able to extent the tie downs enough to fit the broken case under the Hammerhead back and cinch everything down to ensure I left nothing behind.
Even better is that my extra pair of gloves were bone dry inside. The bag shows no wear and is ready for the next adventure.
If you’re on the fence about this bag, and looking for another opinion then here is mine. Buy it yesterday.

Viatetta has never been compromised on their quality in any of their products, small or big the product size is.
I recently bought their HAMMERHEAD 45lr tailbag doing a thorough search for the available products from different companies. Now I am pretty sure that my choice is right. This is a next-level bag that can fulfill all my requirements for an all-weather tail bag. It is 100% waterproof will easy magnetic lock!!! Which is the main thing I love and also the quality of the outer shell.
The bag has enough space for all your belongings like gloves, clothes, and anything else you want to keep out of the rain, dust mud, etc.. and still allows you to use it in a modular way. They have given enough fasteners to hold everything and a shoulder strap to carry them.
I am happy with my purchase and I hope I will a valuable addition to my riding equipment. Once again thank you Viaterra for your quick response to my query and for sending me this awesome gear.

One of the best designed bags in the market. Very well thought of. Has sufficient pockets, is waterproof and has a very unique and reliable attachment system. Put it on and forget about it for the remainder of the ride.

This tailbag is of nice build quality and has good inner see-through pockets on both the flaps.
The rain cover is also durable and has velcro attachment to the main bag.
For bullet bike, not all attachments will be needed. But what is given is more than adequate.
A pair of closing straps on top would have given an extra protection, in case top velcro flaps wear out with time. Also side pocket zippers can be of better quality.

Have recently received/ ordered the hammer head 45 after using the claw bag !! What a feel to handle the bag , really very comfortable strapping and Unstrapping also the finish and sturdiness is simply amazing. Have ordered this one for the fatboy 2016 and fits superbly well. Highly recommended for long tours !! Enough storage for a week long trip.

This is a marvelous design!!!
I had to call up all viaterra distributors across Bengaluru to find the one that had hammerhead in stock(it’s been out of stock for a while now) totally worth it.I was initially skeptical about its mounting system(I’m used to the snug bungee cords) this thing is solid! Mounted it on top of dominar 400’s backrack and it’s as stable as a rock!

ViaterraGear is the best Indian motorcycle gear brand in my opion. I’ve been using the Hammerhead 45 for over a year now and on multiple rides it’s been the only bag I carry. Even stuffed to the brim it doesn’t lose its shape and remains aesthetically pleasing. The waterproofing is a boon as well, although I do mostly use it with the included raincover to keep it safe from being blessed in mud by the rear wheel. The straps are great as well, although I’ve recently switched to ROK straps which elevate the experience further. In conclusion I’d like to note that even though newer offerings are now in the market from other brands, I plan to stick to the Hammerhead! #OneLifeToTravel
