With the Himalayan, a tank bag dosent work coz the tank is already quite high.

Yes you can buy one of the slimmer tank bags but u can’t fit a SLR with a decent sized lens.

I am not saying this is the solution … Jus saying the pack makes the best possible use of the REH’s frame.
U can’t put a camera in there … unless you are smart and have one of those tiny little things with a gazzilion pixels.

What can you use it for then ?
    Spares … Documents… Water bottle.
    That’s about it.
Is 2200 worth that much … Nope.

    Or so it seems.

The pack is huge. Iam not kidding. It. Is. Huge.
    How huge?
I currently have 2 2-litre bottles and 1 1-litre bottle shoved in there. That’s 5 litres per side.
That gives me 25 litres that I can have if I tank up my Himalayan.
Now u can shove a 5litre ka Jerry can type thingy … But they tend to stick out lot.
But with the bottles its sleek.
So … You can shove a lot of things there.

    The fitting and quality-
A lot of pro bikers swear by ViaTerra. The quality is immepecable. The fitting/mounting is so snug that u don’t want to take them off.
The zips and straps are very high quality.
Very soon ViaTerra will be the go-to brand for all luggage.
Put about 1-2 kgs and it survived a 500km journey over not-so-great roads.
I have been assured that it can take 5kg easy. That will be tested soon.
Wish I could upload more pics. But dont worry … we’ll be doing a full video review on YouTube.
Look up – Ride with Raj … Brutally honest he is.
ViaTerra if you want to sponsor a tourer … Rare with Raj is Ur guy. And I say tourer … Not racer … U know the difference.
Final say … at 2200 … Just buy it … Rest is upto Ur resourcefulness.
Will be testing a tank bag soon to.

Thank you for your feedback and reference, Sid 🙂 We will get in touch.

Oh, didn’t realise that it does that. We changed the settings from our end, and it should be easier now.

These Trailpacks are very well thought out top notch design . Materials and build quality are first class.
Fit to the bike is spot on. The foam stiffeners layered in the front and back side do a nice job of maintaining the bags shape yet are flexible enough to allow the bags to accommodate odd shaped items. The roll top feature means no water is going to get in and NO ZIPPERS to get jammed, sticky or break : )
The removable water proof liners are genius. If they wear or get damaged they can be repaired, replaced or new liners can be made, no need to throw away the Trailpacks themselves.

Customer service was excellent and they processed my order promptly. PayPal is an option you can request if your bank is fussy about international orders. Shipping half way across the globe was kind of expensive but the Trailpacks are worth it IMHO.

I’m rating these 4 starts out of 5. If they survive ten years of the abuse I’ll give them I’ll come back and give them the 5th star.

    • Alex Joseph

We are confident of getting that 5 star:) Thank you so much for your kind words.

Less than a week to be delivered from India to the UK.
The quality is absolutely brilliant and even with the unavoidable shipping costs these still represent excellent value. Fit is spot on and secure. Each bag has a little outer pocket which is useful and you can get a surprising amount in the main bags.
Great customer service, very highly recommend, I would definitely use Via Terra again.

    • Alex Joseph

Thank you so much for your kind words. Hoping to see you again soon 🙂

Trailpacks were my first purchase from Viaterra, and they were highly recommended by my riding club – Himalayan Hawks

    1. Trailpacks are so well designed that they blend into the bike’s personality and be very purposeful at the same time.

    2. I have never been a fan of tank bags. The problems with tankbags is that they can leave scratches on the tank if we are not careful, for some riders it can seem like an obstacle.

Also one cannot leave tank bag on the bike for very long time without drawing attentions of theives.

Trailpacks absolutely perform beyond expectations when aforementioned factors are considered.

Once I installed the trailpacks on my bike, I never removed them. They are loaded with costly items like a big tool kit, portable electric tyre inflator, tubes for both tyres, sunglasses, rolls of paracord etc.

I have left the trailpacks on in dense city areas, on the outskirts, deserted areas, for extended periods of time. Nothing got taken.

Just make sure you use some nylon ties to secure the trailpacks to the frame and you are good to go.

    3. Trailpacks are very spacious. They may seem moderate in size from outside, but you can keep stuffing it with items and it will happily secure them for you.

I can quickly access my sunglasses, store away my gopro/phone, grab my charging cable without getting off the bike or digging into my bag.

    4. The waterproof liner makes life a hell lot easier. I keep the liner on all the time to protect my electric inflator.

I am giving it 4/5 instead of 5/5 because it’d have been nice to have a third buckle to properly secure the mouth of the trailpacks.

These bags are great, clearly (and cleverly) 100% designed for the Himalayan. I went for them after having considered several other alternatives and I’m glad I did. Shipping from India to Italy was really quick, even though somewhat costly but I was prepared for that, including the additional import duties, but the product is definitely worth the money.

Perfect for items such as water bottles, glares, or documents. You can actually use it daily for carrying household items as well. It’s really handy. You don’t have to worry about bringing a polythene bag with you. The important thing is the quality of material. It’s really tough. Plus there is warranty on it, which makes it a best buy item.

I bought this for my All India Ride. I am more than happy with the bags. Impressive design and the sturdiness of the product at a reasonable price. Also, The quality of the bags is really solid. The additional rain liner comes handy during the water crossing.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has RE Himalayan and wants to add and extra space for your spares and fuel canisters during long adventure tours.

Top notch design and quality with over the top customer service is what comes to my mind whenever I hear the word Viaterra. Compact yet big enough to hold all your essentials like Tool Kit, Medicines, Spares, Water Bottle and even a Jerry Can if you want to, it gives a character to the Himalayan and makes it look good and complete – at times I don’t feel like taking it out. It’s 100% Waterproof and you get it at a very reasonable price. You have a similar product from Invictus, with bigger storage but rest assured only the Viaterra Trail Bags can make your Himalayan look awesome and also serves the purpose very well.

Very nice bags specially made for Himalayan. These bags made specially for the Jerry can frame and fits very sturdy and perfect. It won’t move even a inch in any road conditions.
Very useful to keep things which are used frequently.
I has a zip out side too. Can keep some thin items when packed.
Comes with water proof inner cover for both bags.
It has very good velcro strips for mounting. Even after 10000 km usage it is intact. Materials uses are really good quality.
    Mainly looks cool on bike.
    Value for money product.
