    the best in the business!
easy to install, fully provided kit!
the shoe now makes forget that my Himalayan has a center stand, and it is much more confidence boosting for mounting and dismounting the bike. I say, just go for it!

Full marks for R&D, Design, Manufacturing and Execution.

Why purchase Viaterra shoes instead of a competitor’s or welding a plate to the side-stand –

    1. The surface area of the shoe should be as wide as possible, so as to have maximum distribution of the load put by the bike on the ground/gravel/grass/mud.

Viaterra’s sidestand shoe has a larger surface area compared to similar product provided by one of the Indian competitors.

    2. Ease of installation – The shoe should fit on to the side stand with minimal effort. A fact that one should know about the side stands manufactured by RE for Himalayan – they are not consistent with the weld (fillet radius ) thickness or the weld position. This becomes a problem because there will be possible (interference) clash between the welding and the sidestand shoe.

Viaterra’s R&D team has done their job really well and designed the sidestand shoe in a manner that the position of welding is not a problem at all. Just flip the upper locking plate and you are good to go. This feature is not present in the competitor’s product. (as far as I have seen)

    3. The designo of the shoe is very neat and stylish. The surface finishing is top notch with a neat laser etched logo of Viaterra. Plus, this being stainless steel, there will be no rusting.

    4. The product may seem pricey at first. But here are my reasons for having purchased it happily –

    a. Increases the rugged appeal of Himalayan.

    b. If you weld a plate to the existing side stand, and if the stand breaks, then the 400~500 rupees that you spent in getting a plate welded to the side stand, is lost. But if you buy a shoe instead, you can simply install it on the new side stand. And trust me, Himalayan side stands are fragile.

    c. My first purchase was Himalayan Trail packs, second purchase was the Grid gloves. The design and quality of both products are top notch, which made me purchase the sidestand shoe too. Quality products increase the quality of life overall.

    Bottomline –

If you want your Himalayan to look rugged and always stand up even on the weakest of surfaces, then close your eyes and go for this product.

PS : Viaterra’s shoe comes with a installation kit. Kit includes a thread locker (loctite). Please use the thread locker during installation. If you have not used the thread locker, avoid taking bike for a ride, even if it is a very short one.
